As a freelance inspector I have something to tell you or share with you.

Each time of inspection I try my best to do it. You are going to ask how? I need to digest all your documents before the inspection in order to make inspection smooth and efficient. How long it will take? Maybe you don’t believe, for product which I’m not familiar with I will surf Internet to check the standard for this product and follow them to do inspection.2 -3 hours preparation is needed. You must want to know how we make a living. To be honest, life for freelance inspector is hard, but interesting, we use our knowledge to serve client like you and perform the inspection on site. We earn what we deserve. For me, I take this job as adventure. New factories to go, new client to serve, new product to inspect. Amazing!

How to keep knowledge up to date?

Good question! First of all, check Internet about the up to date standard like EN60335, IEC60598 ….etc. You can find almost everything you want. With our years accumulation of inspection experience, we absolutely know what the standard describe.

Difference between freelance and agent/company

I guess main point is about trust. You will need to find a balance between cost and service. Big name companies have a team to maintain their services. They will have separate team to contact factory and inspector and make everything ready for you. But for freelance, we will handle it by our own. But we also can be flexible if you need other services or stay longer in factory.
