First, your factory should be covered by UL WTDP(witness test data program),
then, the related guys must know the standards' requirements and know how to do the tests,
Finally, all the test equipments related with UL must be calibrated correctly, and can be traced to CNAS, for this point, the UL witness engineer will focus on not only the calibration itself , but also the calibration reports for the equipments, so you also know how to deal with it....

All above are standards related with wire and cable, but as per your description, I guess your factory must be a big one....
