| I.
| Position Summary
Provide a brief statement that expresses the major purpose of this job, i.e., why the job exists, how it contributes to organizational goals, reporting relationships, and/or purpose of the work group reporting to it.
Accountable for the overall garment development (pre-production) process for the responsible Brands / Divisions. Supports product development and production in a team based environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including product development, garment engineering, esthetics and quality.

| II.
| Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions*
Divisional Strategy
- Introduce & execute technical standards within the Brands / Divisions
- Work with vendors to ensure proper execution of brand aesthetic, fit, construction and quality standards of the garments.
- Develop and train vendor staff to meet current and future divisional product development needs
Vendor Management
- Train & monitor vendor staff on technical and divisional standards
- Work with vendors on brand aesthetic execution and proper fitting techniques
- Identify & communicate any potential vendor issues and assist in developing resolutions
Product Development
- Work closely with Design to understand brand aesthetic in order to properly guide Technicans and vendors during product development.
- Ensure end product is developed to meet technical and Divisional quality and costing expectations and overseeing a seamless relationship with the quality team.
- Train vendors & Technicans on new product development methods and to provide alternative techniques to Design & Manufacturing ensuring cost effective product development
- Work with vendors on-site
Team Development
- Provide training to TE Assistant, Technicians and suppliers
- Encourage independent decision making
- Conduct continuous process analysis
Ongoing collaboration
- To understand brand and technical needs
- Technical teams and vendors to ensure product development requirements are being disseminated and executed effectively

| Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
1.
A minimum of 5 years experience in global product development and manufacturing.
2.
Experience in garment construction, key manufacturing operations and cost effective garment development. Extensive fabric & yarn knowledge
3.
Experience training and developing new vendors.
4.
Strong project management skills and adaptable in a fast-paced changing environment
5.
Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
6.
Fluent English (Cantonese and Mandarin a plus)
