1. Introduction:
During a Quality Inspection, you will have to do aprecise number of tests defined in your Inspection Protocol to checkthe quality of the inspected product.
You will find below the list of the tests that you will have to do during most of the Inspections.
2. Definition of tests:
Every test that you should do will be written in your Inspection Protocol in the part ”.
Some of the test in the Inspection Protocol can beconsidered as standard test because they will be carried out in most ofthe Inspections. Here is a description completed with some pictures foreach one of these tests:
- Function test:
For this test you will have to check if the productworks under normal use and if none of the function of the product hasproblems.
Example: for a lamp, you should turn on and off the light. For a MP3, you should try to transfer and listen music, etc…
- Carton drop test:
This test is performed to check if the cartons protect enough the products.
To do so you need to throw on the floor a required number of cartons (number defined in the Inspection Protocol).

- Abusive test:
This test determines if the product can withstand an abusive use.
Example: for a textile product like a bra, you have to pull on the straps. For a DVD, you have to distort it, etc…
- Fatigue test:
This test determines
Example: for a product with a push-button, you have to push on it. For a textile product with a zipper, you have to open and close it. The number of times, you need to do so will be defined in the Inspection Protocol. |
