Being a third party inspector for 6years in a worldwide Famous ISP, and right up to 40, something I must face with, and here wish to share with others, the younger, the similar agers and the elder, should there be any:-((
Usually it is hard to define a job as good or bad, the basic criterion is what you want, i.e. to what extent you are satisfied with it.
When it fits you, it is honey; when it does not fit, poison.
I hope to work for the current company till my entirement, but it is hard to imagine that I will still be an inspector, travelling everywhere, when I will be - say, 45, 50, or something.
Actually I have been an "old" guy, that meant experience and expertise. More and more "soft" jobs are being entrusted to fresh guys and the tough ones on my shoulders. That is the trust from the company.
At this age, I have to push myself learn and work harder and harder, without any suggestion or warning. The experiences are being exhausting and more and more new things came to me.
Designing new learning points is main theme recently. I have been trying something on management, communications, etc., hoping to be more useful than just working as an inspector, trimming myself to fit the company better.
Maybe my style is just conservative, but anyway the company is not bad, and I think I still have the chances to get higher.
I hope to have your points on this job. Anytime, Anywhere, I have been doing my best and accordingly, I have reason to believe that I can get fair treatment. |
