10.2.5 A luminaire, including lamps, shall be provided with means of support independent of the outlet box and shall be marked and provided with installation instructions in accordance with Table 20.1.1, Items 1.21 and 1.33, if it is:
(a) a ceiling surface type and weighs more than 22.7 kg (50 lb); or
(b) a surface wall-mounted type and weighs more than 11.4 kg (25 lb).
