English is indeed important now , because our customers are usually from the other countries that they speak English there, As an inspector , if you want to improve your ability to inspect many kinds of goods well, you must learn and know kinds of standards , which like IEC, BS , EN, UL and so on . But many standards are not translated into Chinese now, these standards are in English edition, so it's hard to understand if your English is not good .
