Quality Controller - Furniture Industry

• QC Specialist : Furniture industry
We are a fast growing UK start-up that has recently set up an International Sourcing Office in Shanghai. We specialise in conception, importation and distribution of furniture. We have strong quality standards and mostly work on own-designed mail order furniture products.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the top management of the company, you will be responsible for the Quality Control of all orders processed by our suppliers in China, including:
- Factory auditing for new suppliers, and filling factory auditing report in English;
- Coordinating with merchandisers and trade coordinators to set up the quality assurance procedures for all the purchasing orders, and QC brief for every new product;
- Following up with the suppliers during the production for quality check;
- Inspecting the production and finished goods on the factory site, and writing complete QC report in English, 100% QC (every container, every product);
- Direct communication with the company management in London.
More generally, you will be the person in charge for every QC inspection, and responsible for the 100% perfect quality of every product leaving the factory and sent to the UK.
The Successful Applicant
You will be degree qualified with a minimum of 3 years specialised experience in furniture QC/ manufacturing/ buying agent for the furniture industry in China. Previous experience and perfect references within specialised QC teams of international furniture brands is a must be.
An experience in Sofa industry and/or Lightning industry would be an appreciable plus.
You are a detailed oriented and hard working person, with a high sense of responsibilities, and willing to work for a fast growing group with strong focus on high quality standards and close control of the suppliers. You are able to travel frequently and work independently.
Knowledge of international trade, mastering of computer skills (MS Office, Internet, emails…), and both English and Chinese speaking/reading/writing are required.
