Guidelines:
The vendor may submit test results from any third party independent testing facility. Following are the testing guidelines for lead and cadmium testing:
- Every SKU in a pattern must be tested.
- The lab must follow the ASTM-C738 standard test method and report the test results in the format adopted in that standard.
- The test results must be published in English.
- The test report must list the units tested by product name and SKU.
- The results must list the amount of lead and cadmium that leached from an acidic
solution in parts per million (ppm) and state that the test passes the FDA and Proposition 65 requirements.
- Tests must be legible, clear, and re-faxable.
- Certificates will not be considered as lead tests.
- Test results must be provided to Crate & Barrel prior to shipment.
