now it seems that a surged stitch is a stiching method to lock and protect the edge of some loose fabrics, like chenille, or some kind of lining, to avoid the fraying or coming off from edges, right? it will roll and fold the edge.
what I saw in edge lock
If we can get a picture to show us the details, that would be fine.
you know the common stitching on cover kits are single stitch, double needle, or plain joint, some other special as well, JCP put the SURGED STITCH in their specification sheet, along with DOUBLE NEEDLE, that confusing me, does a SURGED STITCH doing like a single stitch?, or, we would sew a SURGED STITCH firstly, then followed with single stitch or double needle on seams. |
