做QC的，一般在工厂、贸易公司英语要求不是很高，公证行、买办英语要求高些，特别是那些直接汇报上司是老外的。

i think all depends on the nature and the structure of the company. If there are some westerners in the company, english will be essential or at least a benefit for bargaining salary. However, if the company has nothing to do with outside world, english is not as important. I personally think capability is the most important, english sure is a bonus.
