Kaufland is the largest hypermarket chain in Germany and belong to the Schwarz-Group, one of the world’s major leading Food and Grocery trade enterprises. The total turnover of the Schwarz-Group (Kaufland & Lidl) reached about 46 bln US$ in 2004.
Kaufland hypermarket stores are represented in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. The over 600 stores and shopping centers inside and outside of Germany have sale areas between 2500 and 12000 m2. Being the buying office in Shanghai, we are responsible for the import activities from Asia, which means that our office will then be the communication center from and to the German head office.
