49.2.3.2 The horizontal glass or ceramic food warming surface of an appliance shall withstand without cracking or breaking the impact of a steel sphere, 2 inches (51 mm) in diameter and weighing 1.18 pounds(535 g), dropped from a height of 20.25 inches (514 mm). Four drops shall be made at different places on separate samples.
