Position Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Business Unit: Disney Theme Parks Merchandise Sourcing
Department: Global Sourcing
Based in: Guangzhou, China
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Principle Job Function:
To insure the products produced by our suppliers as manufactured to established Disney standards.
Detail Description:
1) Inspect Disney product during production to insure quality standards are maintained
2) Work with contracted quality assurance companies to insure Disney products are produced to specified quality standards.
3) Work with compliance department and manufactures to insure Disney MOU standards are maintained.
4) Work with Disney team to insure CT-PAT requirements are maintained by our suppliers.
5) product types for inspection – Toys, Vinylmation, Home Décor, Stationery, Seasonal, Accessories, Headwear, Timepieces, Jewelry, Souvenir, etc.
Working Relationship:
*Internal: Work with management, Orlando based sourcing team and Hong Kong sourcing team.
*External: Manufactures, and contracted Quality assurance companies
Qualifications and Experience:
1) Minimum 4 years experience in retail merchandising quality control, Production and Quality Assurance
2) Excellent communication skills (English & Mandarin – both verbal & written
3) Ability to work successfully in a multinational work environment
4) Hardlines experience required, apparel experience would be a plus
5) Albility to travel in the Southern China region
6) Strong time management and organizational skills |
