Recitation is the best teacher. To choose some short but beautiful or meaningful essays and recite, then recite, anytime you can remember and recite, you will improve both on English and on confidence.
For Written English, I recommend New Concept English Book 2 to you. You can recite the first 30 lessons.
Take Lesson 1 as example: - It's none of your business -
Last night I went to the theatre.
The play was very interesting.
I did not like it.
A young man and a young women were sitting behind me.
They were talking loudly.
.......................
One sentence for one complete issue, very clear and precise.
For oral English, I recommend English 900, from which you can get good training on intonation. American Accent is easier to follow than the British Accent, and more popular. Of course you can also listen to the tapes for New Concept English to enhance your listening comprehension.
And more important, you must try to use it more frequently. You can write in English on the Internet.
