Yes,the Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) is billed on January 31 of each year. The AMF is based on a graduated scale tied to the number of files that are established for each Applicant/Manufacturer combination. The Annual Maintenance Fee contributes to the following:
? Support and maintenance of our UL’s databases and other systems regarding UL Listings, Recognitions and Classifications.
? Mailings of information to clients relative to surveillance activities.
? Assistance by office and field staff with technical questions that clients and Field Representatives may have during inspections.
The AMF is globally uniform (although there may be some slight geographic based variances due to local currency exchange rate issues) but all clients share in a prorated portion of the activities explained above. The AMF is based on the applicant - file number count per manufacturing location.
