Main Responsibility
·
Have the knowledge of our existing suppliers’ capabilities, skills, strengths, weakness and status
·
Develop the trends/new materials with best/suitable suppliers (based on capacity plan)
·
Keep every stage in the development process as short as possible
·
Follow closely what competitors are working on
·
Educate and evaluate new material suppliers in understanding H&M
·
Make all relevant tests on samples which are classified as potential orders for new qualities
·
Continuously update material library
·
The strategy for developments will be linked to the demand / department and be set together with Merchandising team
·
Create a good dialogue with buyers, designers and pattern constructors in Sweden
·
Customer focused. Know the concept /customer you work for very well
·
Keep Sweden
informed of development status
Main Requirement

●

Bachelor degree, preferably a degree in fashion design/art textile degree
●
Experience of Textile/garment production, preferably experience from similar position in supplier or representative office and experience working in a design team
●
Good command of written and oral English
●
Good communication skill
●
Business minded and Quality conscious



Material R&D - Shoes
Location: Guangzhou

Main Responsibility
·
Good knowledge of existing material suppliers’ capabilities, skills,commercial strengths and weaknesses, including
fashion sense,price,quality, lead time
·
Develop the trends / new materials with best / suitable suppliers
·
Keep every stage in the development process as short as possible
·
Follow closely what competitors are working on
·
Secure H&M quality requirements and restrictions for potential orders
·
Secure and evaluate new suppliers in understanding H&M customer (trends & fashion)
·
Continuously update material library
·
Strategy of where to develop what will therefore be set together with PM Team
·
Secure co-ordination between sourcing team for new suppliers
·
Create good dialogues with buyers and designers in buying office
·
Customer focused
·
Keep buying office informed of development status
Main Requirement
·
Bachelor degree, preferably a degree in fashion design / shoes related
·
Production experience from similar position in supplier or representative office, perferably experience working in design team
·
Good command of English
·

Material Sourcing Responsible – Shoes

Location: Shanghai



Main Responsibility



·          Source material suppliers with sense for best deal including delivery time, quality and cost to achieve effective commercialization

·          Finding and developing new products with fashion sense for shoes and with intension for customer benefit

·          To benchmark prices on all shoes materials

·          Secure the competitive price and good quality of raw materials

·          Work with Capacity Assurance Manager together to negotiate the capacity and liability upon booking materials

·          Support merchandiser in negotiation to get the best price with good quality from the material supplier, make sure the capacity is enough

·          Support merchandiser in production to get material on time and make sure the lead time is ok for our orders

·          Support to solve problems on materials during quotation and bulk production

·          Working closely with QA coordinator to make sure the new material is achieved quality standard.  

·          Provide and update the new material to all R&D and PD when new material coming

·          Have good knowledge of our material suppliers.

·          Build and maintain supplier database including capacity, price, fashion sense,lead time, quality performance, CoC status etc

·          Evaluate material suppliers’ performance and coordinate education for new suppliers

·          Update fashion trends from the market

·          Secure H&M has material library for long term and short term trends



Main Requirement



·         Bachelor’s degree, preferably in material-related science

·         Familiar with material sourcing markets

·         Familiar with different shoes materials

·         Good command of English in both writing and oral

·         Minimum 5 years in shoes industry and 2 years in materials

·         Interested in fashion



Preferred experience or skills



·         Experience in production process of shoes industry with responsibilities for purchasing raw materials

·         Experience of working in buying office for sourcing
