With respect to the approval of the 3G0.5mm² flexible cords we understand that the cords are accepted by both IEC 60227.5 and its Australian equivalent. However as the Australian Appliance Standards will not permit a 0.5mm² earthing conductor we will not approve the cord. The task of locating and recalling products fitted with an incorrect cord is too great and we do not wish to see the incorrect use of this cord in the market place.
