5.3.2 Component abnormal conditions
5.3.2.1 For electronic devices, various semiconductors (solid state) components and electrolytic capacitors shall be shorted one at a time to determine there would be no fire hazard.5.3.2.2 If it can be determined by circuit inspection that some diodes would not cause a hazardous condition or a short would be the same as the “lamp open” condition previously conducted, the component need not be shorted. Components located in circuits that were capable of delivering more than 50 W of power are to be short-circuited or open circuited in turn. The locus (locations) of the 50 W points can be determined with the method described in the Standard for Fluorescent-Lamp Ballasts, UL 935.
5.3.2.3 The device under test was checked for fire hazards by observation, checked for ignition or
dripping of potting compound, and emission of flames or molten metal from the device enclosure.

我的问题是:元件的短路是在灯点亮之前还是之后?

简单地说,点火器非正常试验要做有关元件的短路试验。

问题就是短路是在正常工作之前?还是在正常工作之后?(两者状态有很大区别)

在点亮之前短路。

点亮前短路,条件更恶劣,照理应该如此。但从我以前做过的认证报告上看,是在点亮后短路。
从标准上看,这里好象没有明确说明。

试想,灯点亮了再短路,可能冒火或是其它危险,此时灯已打开或是点火器在灯具外,怎么可能会引起灯具起火。

再者,参考其它标准作法,同样未说明,但都是在工作之前。

正常状态稳定了之后才能作fault condition

所有功能性测试都必须在亮灯之前做
