46.2 An appliance that is wall or ceiling surface mounted as mentioned in 46.1 is to be mounted in
accordance with the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer on 3/8-inch-thick plasterboard(dry wall) on nominal 2 by 4-inch wood studs/joists spaced on 24 inch (609 mm) centers. The mounting parts are to be used as specified in the instructions, and the securing screws are to be located between the studs/joists and secured in the plasterboard.
