A Quality Engineer will provide “hands on” Quality Control Plan design support on assigned programs to ensure product is designed and built in accordance to customer’s quality and reliability requirements, at the same time will provide feedback to the Customer who is buying products from China.

He/she will have in his charge a group of Quality Inspectors, the ones who will perform arranged product inspections and audits according to a predefined Control Plan reviewed with
Customer.

2. Responsibilities工作职责

Review of all design, manufacturing, purchasing and test documentation provided by the Customers to ensure those requirements are well understood and will be properly applied on-field by the assigned Quality Inspection Team Member.
Review drawings, specifications, operation instructions, sheets, process procedures, test procedures, inspection and test analysis.
审核图纸、说明书、操作说明、表格、过程程序、测试程序、检验和测试分析。
Provide leadership in advanced quality planning techniques(Quality Cont Plans, SPC Capability Studies, Measuring and Test Equipment Studies, Product Validation, Reliability Tests and Inspection Training to Inspectors)
Develop and control implementation of sampling plans (AQL) and SPC techniques.
开发和控制抽样计划（AQL）和统计过程控制技术规范的实施。
Plan Inspection Working Plan for the inspectors (Confirmation with Clients and Suppliers, Cost estimations, Activity planning, Inspection Training, Remote Inspection Support)

Internal外部职责
Analyze and investigate the root cause of internal non-conforming services delivered to Customers or Internal Processes.
Initiate and coordinate corrective and preventively actions and verifications of effectiveness such as actions for customer complaints, internal audits, and internal/external suppliers’ non-conformances.
Plan activities, create and publish reports for overall defect and cost reduction programs
Assist in the training of quality engineers and quality technicians.
Maintain work instructions
Facilitate or maintain department representations using internal programs such as Internal Auditing
Participate in the maintenance of company ISO 9000 manual and registration.

May need to travel eventually, in China.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the internal Quality department and all Clients.

Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Available for overtime including some weekends if necessary and on call for emergencies.

Perform other duties as necessary.

He will be reporting directly to the Engineering Director.

5. Position Profile
General
Must be detail oriented.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English. Bilingual (English /Chinese)
Computer Literate. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

Must have good hand/eye coordination (dexterity)
·
Must not be color blind
Must be familiar with cleanliness.
Must be willing to travel constantly.

· Good Discipline Specific
Bachelor of Science Degree (engineering, industrial or scientific degree desired).
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a product quality/manufacturing environment.
ISO 9001 practical and operative knowledge.
Any ASQ CQE,CQA, CQI or Quality certifications is a plus.
Experience with Supply Chain Management process and procedures
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Good problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Ability to meet physical demands of position.
Ability to use basic inspection tools such as calibers, gauges, comparison samples, magnifying loop. Other Advanced Equipment use skills are a plus.
Experience using AQL sampling methods and/or SPC methods.
Mechanical aptitude in GD&T is a plus.
Remark
In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level of degree may be substitute for two years of experience. Two years of experience may be substituted for each year of education.
