Key operational responsibilities:
As Performance Test Engineer your main tasks will be to:
- Be responsible for performance tests of small appliances, e,g food processors
- Judge the ergonomics and general handling/operation of a product and the logic behind
- Check instructions for use and do corresponding adjustments and/or additions
- Plan the lab activities and time required for the tests
- Order or buy the required materials for the tests (e.g. food, vegetables, etc)
- Own work in lab/test execution
- Test according to IEC standards, national regulations and normal household use
- Evaluate test results and create new solutions and improvements
Competencies needed:
- Should be able to assess the result of baking, cooking and all activities related to food preparation or other household activities
- Knowledge in food chemistry
- Knowledge about laundry care
- Should have a real interest in cooking and baking
- Creative and pro-active in translating knowledge from testing into proposals for improvements
- Several years of experience of evaluating small appliances or equivalent product categories
- Ability to deal with international test standards
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentations)
- Strong capabilities to communicate with management and colleagues in the own product organization, as well as external suppliers, testing institutes and service centers
- Organized and a structured way of working
- Team worker
- Attracted by working in a multinational environment with different cultures
- Prepared to travel
