标题: Difference between China QC and Hong Kong QC
Due to current economic situation, boss would like to review the QC allocation (HK or China QC), Could you please advise their difference?

HK QC (in general):
- Higher Salary
- Higher travel expense & Longer travel time
- Better written english & oral english (some time can accompanying forigen buyer to visit
factory)
- High integrity
- Easier to push factory to make improvement
- More easier to cover inspection work outside china (Passport issue)

Any other?????

no factory like QC from HK now

Yes, no factory in HK.
Now, HK QC focus in Macau, Taiwan, Shenzhen, and other asian country.
Also provide training to NEW china QC and acompanying forginer buyer.
Boss would like to see the difference if reduce HK QC, more China QC? does the company function perform well and fit for long term development?

算了吧，就港灿验货的一帮老头老太，别说讲英语，连普通话都讲不怎么好，还谈什么和工厂沟通？

我在工厂的时候最烦他们，每次跑过来都要我去给工人做翻译，不是翻译粤语，因为工厂根本没有人懂粤语，而是我不得不和他们用英语沟通，然后再用普通话告诉工人怎么操作

验了两次，我们就直接告诉客人：下次如果不派个能说普通话的来，那就别派人来了，反正那些订单他愿意下给谁就下给谁

I believed if the company gave HK QC power, the factory would respect him more, otherwise, the HK QC same as us, but you know ,they like sex.

楼主的定义有问题, 什么叫"China QC and Hongkong QC"?Hongkong已经是China的一部分了,所以不能都拿Hongkong和China作比较了. 所以应该叫做"Hongkong QC and mailand QC".

My boss already tell me that he will keep 1 HK QC with good oral english for accompanying customers. Layoff the rest.

In fact the qc from backland is better than qc from HK. First of all, they are working hardly and earing a little salary compare with HK qc.like this, about example of “qc from backland is better than qc from HK” is very very more…..

I think mailand QC is more better than HK QC if i am a boss of the factory...
Everybody know HK guys should get very high salary...
But mainland is very low....
Mainland QC also have the knowledge, also know english, cantonese....like Guangdong guy......
If you give some salary to mainland qc, i think he/she will be more better than hk qc.....

别傻了，谁说香港QC就牛B了，最主要的还是我们自己努力，只要自己多努力，也可以做得比他们好（在我们公司就是这样），虽然他们工资很不错，比较物价，他们不见得比我们好：要有自信心。。。。。当然，也有很高杆的，批办很在行，更不用说验货了。。。。(曾经在广东番禺做过一家叫美福制衣的，主要做品牌----Blanc de chine"源"，感觉做工等无出其右的，有个香港大师傅，很高杆啊，姓谢）

Here is my opinion,
Mainland QC
Advantage, low salary(a very important factor), less travelling expense in mainland, a good communication with worker in mainland factory(telling them how to make improvement),
Disadvantage, poor English.

HK QC(Like our topic starter said, they have their advantage of good english and easy going abroad but their poor Chinese will be a block  in their way in mainland . And I have one more talk about HK QC, they will seperate their work distinctly and focus their work well, which I think it is goood for a company.)
Anyway, it is about "HEART". If our mainland QC put more attention to improving ourself, I believe mainland could do as well as HK  QC does, even better.
My suggestion for you is that, ask your boss to keep 2--3 HK QC, then find some GUANGDONG QC to learn from HK QC, because HKQC know more rules about inspection because of their long working in foreign trading part. And why I say choose GUANGDONG QC?? One reason, they know cantonese which give them a easier communication with QC and learn more. GUANGDONG QC also Speak  Chinese, if your company want to set other offices in Northern Chinese or somewhere and recruit fish to your new office, GUANGDONG QC can also provide training to them as well.

为什么有人会请香港藉或台湾藉验货员? 除了地方主义因素(即自己人信自己人外),可能有以下的其它考虑:

1. 最普遍的观感是觉得大陆人不可靠: 由细微的行为习惯,如排队争先恐后, 大至对送礼的态度,例如不拿白不拿. 都使一部分人失去信心. 这些成见恐怕不经历一二代,难以解决.这与大陆人普遍认为港台同胞来大陆只会包二奶一样道理;
2. 港台验货员在产品知识深度方面可能远不及大陆验货员,但是至少可以忽悠工厂及老板; 有时侯,有些老板只会看表面功夫, 这点所谓的”沟通” (Presentation, not communication),恐怕有些验货员看不太透.
3. 大陆验货员很容易默守成规,大概是众人如是我都如是.面对变化时要不太坚持”过去的一套”, 要不就是感到变化太多无所适从. 这点在表面上, 港台验货员很少给人看到这一点.

As a QC, I think honest and clean should be considered as the most important character. Especially the QC manager, I think it's better to choose a stuff from HK. But as considering the travel cost and familiar with the mainland, I think it's better to employ them from the mainland.
